Eric San a.k.a. Kid Koala is one of the world’s best turntablists, whose combination of musicality and virtuosity has re-defined the turntable as a musical instrument. His concerts (performed also at Kampnagel) are energetic crowd pleasers with costumes and audience interaction. Alongside various Kid Koala releases on the Ninja Tunes-Label and collaborations with bands such as Gorillaz and Arcade Fire, Eric San also creates interdisciplinary projects and publishes his own graphic novels. NUFONIA MUST FALL LIVE is the stage adaption of his graphic novel about a lonely office girl and an out-of-work robot, for whom destiny has programmed the greatest love story of our time. Directed by production designer K.K. Barrett (»Her«, »Where the Wild Things Are«, »Being John Malkovich«) the performance is cinematically lit, filmed, and projected on a large screen. While an amazing team puppeteers bring the graphic novel characters to life in miniature sets, Kid Koala, accompanied by the Afiara String Quartet, performs his original score on piano and turntable.
