Painter Kasimir Malevich was born to a Polish-Ukrainian family in Kyiv and later worked in Russia and Ukraine. He made his influence felt on the entire art world. The Russian and Ukrainian avantgarde have been established art-historical currents since the Second World War. But to which one does Malevich belong? The Krasnaya Shpana Cooperative for Artistic Research examines the creation of arthistorical currents and examines Malevich as a symbol of international cooperation. The group is presenting a preliminary result of its artistic research in parallel to NEUE WELT‘s performances.
