According to Deutschlandradio Kultur, Kübra Gümüşay – creator of the feminist-Muslim blog ein-fremdwoerterbuch. com, which was nominated for the 2011 Grimme Online Award – is among the people »shaping Islam« in Germany. She writes about feminism, Islam, racism and online culture for, among others, DIE ZEIT, taz, der Freitag and the Süddeutsche Zeitung. In Gümüşay’s view, digitally organized sexism (Ursula Martinez) and racially motivated hate are a harbinger of what awaits us in the future – and not just in the virtual world. As the conversation about Islam’s right to exist in Germany and the headscarf debate, racist views and positions have become ever louder and increasingly socially respectable. Her answer: digitally organized love! In an expansion on her high-profile talk at this year’s re:publica, she will very get to the bottom of the practical application of organized love. The talk is part of the Bucerius Lab Lectures
