After his acclaimed premiere of REQUIEM at the International Summer Festival in 2021, Kyle Abraham and his company A.I.M. return to Hamburg. With a repertoire specifically curated for Hamburg, composed of older and new works, Abraham and his dancers are presenting their unique style of contemporary dance. Like no other choreographer Abraham combines a high standard of dance aesthetics with social-critical discourse and human stories. For this he is celebrated and invited in the dance world, among others on renowned stages such as the Lincoln Center and Kennedy Center, the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris or the Venice Biennale. Among the artists with whom he has collaborated are the musicians Sufjan Stevens and Beyoncé. This evening combines humor, brilliance, tenderness and, above all, pure dance pleasure.
