Five Black people and one white person stand on a white stage floor against a black background. One in the foreground speaks energetically into a microphone in his hand, the other five dance eccentrically in their own ways.

Se chercher means struggling through against all odds and wanting to make your fortune. In this piece, Ordinateur – known as Magic Feet – gathers young befriended dancer who, like him, have come to Europe from different African countries to start something new in Paris and other cities. In Europe, they have to find a balance between being in contact with the African diaspora and entering the European dance scene. An example of such a new collaboration is the classically trained dancer Mason Manning. With high-level choreography and texts about their smart strategies, the dancers in LES CHERCHEURS approach the mentioned issues.
