ABÎMES is the latest work by Linda Hayford, a leading voice in popping and co-director of the CCN Rennes. Her style, Shifting Pop, blends diverse dance forms into a precise, metamorphic language of isolated movements and organic awareness. In ABÎMES, Hayford creates a mystical community of bodies in transition, moving between reality and the fantastical. With six dancers, the piece explores metamorphosis as a force for storytelling and connection, revealing the continual transformation and beauty of life.
