Mable Preach

The performance installation APHRO SPACE PHUNK-WELCOME TO THE FUTURE deals with the African diaspora and its cultural productions. It thematizes and analyzes structural racism, the (German) colonial history and its connections to the invisibilization of Black diasporic culture and science. The artistic team around Hamburg-based director Mable Preach board a spaceship and set out into new dimensions – both future and past – to revive the forgotten roots of pop cultural products while casting speculative, empowering glances into the future.
