The group La Fleur takes the audience to the legendary nightclub "El 9", which opened in Mexico City in 1977. The club was not only a place of entertainment, it was also a refuge for the LGBTI* communities, a cultural underground centre, a nightclub, a place for AIDS prevention and education, a meeting point for night owls and a venue for artistic counterculture as well as a trigger for regular police raids. La Fleur evoke the free and innovative spirit of this mythical place and revive symbolic performances. Each show is a plea and commitment to queer subculture and a declaration of love to the creatures of the "night".
