What is the cityscape? The city is a stage, the stage is a city: theatre director Branko Šimić and choreographer Mona Farivar disagree with the German Chancellor. Together with five young dancers from the hip hop community and international parkour runners, they create a fast-paced, interventionist happening that uses movement, dance, language, images, music and interactive action to develop an alternative to the discriminatory “Stadtbild” (engl.: cityscape) debate and design a playground of positive parallel worlds. STADTBILD is a multimedia hip hop and parkour choreography that deals with social interpretations from an urban perspective and uses the body and dance to develop a vision for a communal “we”.
