The home is an environment that crystallizes many paradoxes in our patriarchal society, which associates the private sphere with female* socialization: A place of fulfillment, but also of alienation. A place of control, but also of disempowerment... The perfect place to embrace obsessions and satisfy compulsions. Long fascinated by pop-cultural tropes of tyrannical mothers and neurotic housewives, Nympho-Ménage [they] celebrates in DUSTBUSTERS their domestic and traumatic heritage, by paying tribute to the female family figures who have terrorized, impressed, and shaped them to become a "Domestic Dominator".
