With Olsen and Dr. Janina Loh (DE), ethicistIn Digital Nirvana: Binary Afterlife and Critical Trans - Post Humanist approaches to immortality Olsen will discuss his sculptural work Digitales Schlaraffenland – eine Ode an die Binärarchitektur and his concept for uploading consciousness into an experimental hard drive built from a shipping container and thousands of binary dice. Dr. Janine Loh, ethicist in feminist philosophy of technology, responsibility research and robot ethics will talk about the implications of creating digital twins in the context of Artificial Intelligence.
Janina Loh is an ethicist at Stiftung Liebenau in Meckenbeuren on Lake Constance. Their main research interests lie in the field of trans- and posthumanism (especially critical posthumanism), robot ethics, feminist philosophy of technology, responsibility research, Hannah Arendt, theories of judgement, and ethics in the sciences. Janina Loh published the first German Introduction to Trans- and Posthuman- ism (Junius 2018) and an Introduction to Robot Ethics in German language (Suhrkamp 2019). They habilitate on an Inclusive Ethics of Companionship for the Knowledge Spaces.The event will be held in English.
