MAI:COMPANY / Patricia Carolin Mai

For many years, Patricia Carolin Mai has been initiating works based on intergenerational and cross-context collaboration with dance-enthusiastic Hamburg residents.

Now, the Hamburg-based choreographer is founding MAI:COMPANY and invites people to engage in continuous collaboration over the next three years.

Starting from the question of what relationship people have today with their own and others' bodies, she creates spaces for encounters and rehearsals that open up artistic processes and explore movement as a dialogical practice. The company explicitly welcomes people without professional dance experience and is interested in the plurality of perspectives and interests.

The official launch begins with an open-air rave and continues with a wide range of formats: movement workshops, discussions, and initial working groups.
