Three former male models – including Marcus Schenkenberg, the highest-paid male model of the 1990s – attempt to reconnect with past successes and find their place in a changing world. Together, they take the leap into the world of pop music and form a band.

What begins as a half-serious dream evolves into an absurd and touching musical journey: Between failed rehearsals, unusual vocal coaching sessions, and encounters with an industry shaped by images, youth, and perfection, the three confront the expectations and illusions that have defined their lives and careers.

A-MEN to That explores ageing, friendship, and the desire to remain visible in a culture obsessed with eternal youth and beauty. A film about second chances, self-image, and the courage to reinvent oneself as life enters a new chapter.

Biographies

Rafael Edholm
Rafael Edholm is a Swedish director, writer, actor, and producer. He began his career as an international top model before becoming a recognised actor in European film and television. He later moved behind the camera, establishing himself as a versatile filmmaker. His directing credits include Completely Crazy, the Swedish Western-inspired comedy Baba’s Cars, the thriller Dark Waters, and the Viaplay series Veni Vidi Vici. His work combines dark humour, social observation, and elements of Nordic noir. He was named by Variety among its Top 10 International Directors Critics’ Choice.

Knut Berggren
Knut Berggren has never been interested in staying within a single frame. Before becoming known in the international fashion world, he already understood visibility as a tool rather than a destination. Still active as a model, he approaches fashion as one element of a broader creative life. His experience in the industry shaped his understanding of images, storytelling, and the mechanisms behind attention. His curiosity lead him into music production. For Berggren, reinvention is not about leaving the past behind, but about allowing creativity to evolve. Beyond his artistic work, he is a passionate skier, and enthusiast of watersports and carpentry.

Marcus Schenkenberg
Marcus Schenkenberg is a Swedish model, actor, and entrepreneur, widely recognized as one of the most influential male models of the 1990s. After studying economics in Sweden, he began his international modelling career after being discovered in Los Angeles. His breakthrough came in 1991 with a landmark Calvin Klein campaign and a widely discussed Vanity Fair feature photographed by Bruce Weber. He worked with renowned photographers including Richard Avedon, Bruce Weber, and Steven Meisel, and became the face of major international brands such as Calvin Klein, Valentino, Versace, Donna Karan, and Armani. As the first male model to appear on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar, Schenkenberg played a significant role in redefining the representation of male beauty and became one of the defining figures of the fashion industry in the 1990s.
