The structural discrimination in almost all areas of society shows to an alarming extent how discriminatory the German system is - particularly in its educational institutions and especially against the Sinti*zze and Rom*nja community. The ROMA CITY HAMBURG CONGRESS tries to identify the fields of action that enable an active encounter and fight against the exclusion of the community. With experts Dr. Mareile Krause, Christian Rosenberg and Dzoni Sichelschmidt as well as educational counsellors from Hamburg and Kiel and young people from the community, the one-day mini-conference shines a light into the dark recesses of unequal power structures and asks for methods and strategies to invalidate exclusionary mechanisms and try out empowering formats.
