What exactly was meant by, ‘welcome’? Must you be a citizen to be able to participate in this society? When have criminal residents ever been deported? Why is it called a ‘refugee crisis’ and not a ‘housing crisis’? Are there alternatives to a camp system? What’s the problem, Germany? One year after the German ‘Summer of Migration’ the Hamburg agitprop artists of the Schwabinggrad Ballet and Arrivati are forming an autonomous collective of refugees and migrants, and prompting a series of urban interventions for the rights of refugees and the right to the city. They will go to the refugee arrival camps, to Axel-Springer-Platz, to the park, to the town hall. They will perform, create unexpected situations and invite activists and communities to participate in an open debate with a party atmosphere.SANKOFA STATEMENTS AND DISCUSSIONS.
