To close 2023’s Summer Festival, the entire Kampnagel area will become a party strip for clubby night owls. While outside in the Avant-Garden hundreds of fireflies swarm out for the last time at Hamburg’s weirdest headphone performance, and the last rich citizens lose all their money at Migrantpolitan’s Soli-Casino, in the foyer everything revolves around a colossal dub sound system: “I-Livity I-Fi” is the name of the wall with a big boom of speakers, which is played by an eclectic mix of DJs and musicians in 30 – 60 minute intervals. Besides Julian Thomann, operator of the “I-Livity I-Fi,” live sets are delivered by legends like Paul St. Hilaire aka Tikiman with new album and Richard Akingbehin!), the Jamaican duo Kat7 (Gavsborg and Exile Di Brave) Carsten Meyer with Viktor Marek; completed by short DJ sets of DJ Knoppers, Phuong-Dan, Semi Nice as well as a few very special guests. Meanwhile, behind the decks in the club, is producer and singer Lyzza, who started out as a ballroom DJ in Amsterdam at age 16, now spins at major festivals worldwide and has been called “electronic music’s most promising young avant pop producers” not only by Beatport.
