Hendrik Otremba / Corecass
Genre-busting pop music with many references and instruments, not only for fans of literature and cinema
Hendrik Otremba is a visual artist, triple novelist and singer of the group Messer - and has been a guest at Kampnagel several times with his different artist identities. Now the ingeniously dilettantish Berlin counterpart of a New York avant-garde scene comes to the hotbed of interdisciplinary creativity and presents the latest version of Henrik Otremba at the summer festival: the solo musician. Otremba will present the accompanying new album «Riskantes Manöver« in an exclusive audiovisual performance for the first time in Hamburg. The evening is opened by multi-instrumentalist Elinor Lüdde aka CORECASS, who despite classical training can look back on a similar DIY background as Otremba. Cinematic soundscapes emerge when the musician electroacoustically alienates ethereal sounds from harp, organ, electric guitar and voice with field recordings and digital or synthesized instruments; Lüdde thus also produced and staged her debut EP «VOID« as a film herself. An evening of musical-artistic elective affinities.
