A slender white woman in tight black pants and blouse clutches a tree trunk in the forest. She hangs from the tree, her arms and legs wrapped around the trunk. She is barefoot and has her dark hair tied back. The forest is dense and green.

Already in 2008, the then 18-year-old Austrian Anja Plaschg played her first concert at Kampnagel as Soap&Skin - even before she released her self-produced debut album »Lovetune for Vacuum« on Pias in 2009, which made the world sit up and take notice. Here was someone writing songs on the piano, augmented by gloomy electronic sounds so intense that big names from Nico to Björk to Autechre were invoked in the many reviews to describe this »shivering ghost of a Bronte sister flung into the present« (The Guardian). Today, the journalistic aid comparisons are long gone: In addition to work for theater and cinema productions, among others, Plaschg released two more acclaimed studio albums on Pias, and also shaped her unmistakable depth-drawing sound with various cover songs: »Voyage voyage« or »What a Wonderful World« always sound like Soap&Skin songs with Plaschg, marked by authenticity and authorship. In 2019, she last played in Hamburg - with the stargaze ensemble as part of the Kampnagel Summer Festival in the completely sold-out Elbphilharmonie. Now she is coming back to Kampnagel to play older and brand new songs (and one or two covers) with her 5-piece ensemble in the big hall k6.
