The Germans and their vacation: In the new stage coup of Norwegian theater squad Susie Wang, this does not go well - much to the amusement of the audience.

Susie Wang, whose horror theater piece MUMMY BROWN was a 2019 festival hit, returns to Hamburg with a new work. The Norwegian group partly consists of members of the legendary Baktruppen, which made theater history in the 90s by destroying all theatrical standards, and is now dedicated to the perfection of illusionary theater. Based on the traditional horror formula »take a happy place and take the happy out of it«, they turn avant-garde theater into top adult entertainment with supernatural phenomena.

Susie Wang's works are about hidden emotions and desires, and with LICHT UND LIEBE the group has now staged an entertaining psycho chamber play about vacation longing in times of global catastrophes, nominated for the prestigious Ibsen Award for best script: A German couple sits sunburned in a faraway vacation paradise, wondering whether to cook themselves or eat out. Then the landlady comes by, informs the two of the impending solar eclipse - and things start to go wrong.
