The long-established German literary television format "Das literarische Quartett" (The Literary Quartet) has repeatedly caused disapproval. For some years now, it has been increasingly pointed out that only a part of the literary production that takes place in Germany is dealt with here, and from a homogeneous critic’s perspective. To counteract this imbalance, Pajam Masoumi, together with Kampnagel, has invented the fault-friendly and anti-canonical counterpart: THE CRITICAL QUEERTET. In its fourth prime-time edition, DAS KRITIKABLE QUEERTETT once again sets out on a search for ways to talk about, argue about and appreciate literature from multiple perspectives.
Tipp: In the afternoon before the event, we invite progressive and critical book professionals, publishing people, authors and friends of the Performative Hamburg Book Fair to an internal workshop to discuss wishes and needs for the next edition of the Book Fair 2025.
