ABER VIELLEICHT HEUTE NOCH NICHT
Hajusom // Newsom Kollektive
Here you can find half-hour rehearsal clips from the first collaborative piece by the Newsome collective, which consists of former members of the transnational group Hajusom and newly joined young performers. BUT MAYBE NOT TODAY is a journey into a distant future: to an Earth many hundreds of years from the present. Amid reconstruction, memory, and obliteration, the piece explores what remains of humanity—and what might yet become of it. ABER VIELLEICHT HEUTE NOCH NICHT is situated at the intersection of science fiction, performance, and speculative narrative. It deals with visions of the future—what hopes are inscribed in them, what fears are associated with them, and which conflicts of the present have not disappeared but have merely changed form? Time is not understood here as a straight line, but as a loop, a waiting room, a possibility. Past, present, and future are superimposed upon one another. Old systems are made visible again in new worlds. Between catastrophe and a new beginning, it remains open whether change is even possible anymore—or whether it is repeatedly postponed.
