In dim lighting, the faces of two people can be seen looking serious. One person is looking straight ahead, the other to the side. Both are wearing necklaces, and both have their jackets zipped up high.

These New Puritans, the experimental band from Essex formed by brothers Jack and George Barnett, perform for the first time at Kampnagel. Known for their visionary sound, which blends pop, classical, jazz, and industrial noise, TNP presents CROOKED WING, their first album in six years. Produced by Jack Barnett and Graham Sutton and featuring guests like Caroline Polachek, the album is an intense journey through sonic extremes — from the brutal to the sublime. Originating from a single bell recording in a Greek church, CROOKED WING reflects TNP’s method of combining field recordings, orchestral arrangements, and DIY production. Their music resists easy categorization and continues a singular tradition alongside artists like Talk Talk and Coil. With CROOKED WING, TNP delivers their most moving and meditative work yet — a testament to their enduring outsider spirit.
