Empowerment. Entertainment. Education. If you want to experience what it could be like if Black women and their stories, their strength and their commitment were finally given much more space in this society, you can't do without the TUPODCAST in your own city! An evening full of empowerment, a celebration of solidarity, a place of learning and understanding and, above all, an event that will resonate with everyone for a long time to come. The award-winning podcast by Germany's best-known facilitator of racism criticism and bestselling author Tupoka Ogette is more than just a podcast. It is community, education and entertainment. In the Apple and Spotify award-winning podcast, Tupoka Ogette has been talking to Black women in Germany, Switzerland and Austria since 2019. These are conversations about the big and small questions of our time. Informative, inspiring, profound and touching.

In Hamburg, Tupoka Ogette meets author, presenter and speaker Aileen Puhlmann. Aileen Puhlmann was born and raised in Hamburg. She studied development policy with a focus on Africa in London and then lived in South Africa for 7 years where she worked for GIZ in local economic development. She is now a full-time board member of Lemonaid & Charitea e.V., which, in addition to promoting global partnerships, endeavors to support a power-critical debate in development cooperation. As a sideline, Aileen founded “Community Kids”, a parent-child initiative for Black parents in Hamburg and addresses the realities of Black people in Germany, single motherhood and social inequality in a variety of ways in articles, podcasts and as a speaker. She designs workshops and moderates talks and discussion panels. She is also a board member of the filia Women's Foundation and an active member of the advisory board for the decolonization of Hamburg, the cultural authority. In her spare time, she is a passionate basketball player.

German empowerment pop: The great artist Celina Bostic provides the musical accompaniment for the evening and will perform songs from her current album “Nie wieder leise” between the discussion sections.

A production by Tupoka Ogette and Stephen Lawson.
