Literary writing offers a protected space for all those whose experiences, feelings and views often fi nd no place in social discourse. At the same time, the written word invites us to take time for a change of perspective that remains free of consequences. In a reading followed by a discussion, authors present texts and poems in which writing has become such a place of retreat for them.
