Xavier Le Roy

Xavier le Roy, who has shaped the dance world with his radical bodily discourses for over 20 years, is at Kampnagel as a guest with his production UNTITLED (2014), which examines the concept of the stage and gradually deconstructs it. Theater contexts have their own system of rules and temporality in which an audience of viewers typically passively watch events in a dark room. Le Roy organizes his evening into three short pieces, which aim to disrupt the divisions between performer and audience, fiction and reality, object and subject.
