POLITICAL BODIES is inspired by the citizens' movement »Y’en a marre« from Senegal. Rap and break-dance artists were using their skills to call attention to the political situation in the country. Choreographer Yolanda Guitiérrez and dramatic advisor Jens Dietrich explore the methods with which the protesters staged their bodies. The leading subject is the relation between artistic action and political mobilization.
