Eine kritische Auseinandersetzung mit der LUCA-App (Präsenz + Stream)
Past dates
In April, Hamburg and 12 other German states signed licensing agreements for the app »Luca«, which combines digital contact tracking with an interface to public health offices. The app has since made headlines: touted by rapper Smudo on talk shows, heavily criticized by data protectionists, questions remain about the app's practical utility and plans for use in the post-Corona era. From the point of view of the Alliance of International Production Houses, two things intersect in the debate about the Luca app: the chances of fighting the pandemic (and thus making it possible to run events again) and data protection aspects - out of responsibility towards the visitors. Against this backdrop, we invite to Claiming Common Spaces III a discussion about the Luca app and possible alternatives, as well as visions for institutional digitalization processes.
The event will be streamed live. The streaming links will be made available here shortly before.
On the panel are:
Eva Wolfangel (science journalist and expert on digital tools for pandemic control)
Amelie Deuflhard (artistic director Kampnagel / for the event houses)
Lorena Jaume-Palasí (Founder The Ethical Tech Society)
Jörn Riedel (CIO Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg)
Patrick Hennig (CEO neXenio / Luca)
The discussion will be moderated by Judith Horchert (DER SPIEGEL, Head of Department Netzwelt).
