Growing Grounds

This year’s talk and concert series GROWING GROUNDS in the festival garden advocates for solidarity, alliances and resistant hope in times of silence, war, and crimes against humanity. Every Friday and Saturday, renowned authors present new books in which they formulate artistic counter- positions with a critical spirit , serving as a ground for societal debate. Each event is followed (additionally on Thursdays) by acoustic concerts, ranging from Yarsan music from Kurdistan to blues from Niger. All events are free of charge, taking place on the Waldbühne beneath birch trees.
