[k]aleidoskop-App: Zwangsarbeit und Widerstand

App for reappraising the history of the Kampnagel-area during the NS

The app is in its final stages of development and will be released soon in the App Store.

From the start of the new season, visitors will be able to explore the history of National Socialist ideology and violence inscribed on the site using a specially developed augmented reality app and on a website. The [k]aleidoskop app and its narrative avatars will make history visible and tangible. In conjunction with the online archive, which is accessible in five languages, the [k]aleidoskop app raises awareness of the responsibility we all have to be witnesses of the present day and the ongoing process of coming to terms with history at a time when the number of contemporary witnesses is dwindling. By utilising digital possibilities, Kampnagel is crossing the bridge between archiving and activation and entering a new, innovative level of remembrance-cultural mediation work that has the potential to reach new audiences internationally. In this way, Kampnagel wants to make its contribution to the present and future of remembrance culture and politics.
