»Feminist awakening with stunningly cheerful Sesame Street chutzpah«, DER SPIEGEL summed up its astonishment on Albertine Sarges’ debut album. »The Sticky Fingers« was released on London-based quality label Moshi Moshi and has positioned the Berlin-based musician, who had played in the bands of Holly Herndon and Kat Franke on the forefront of a very casual queer-feminist pop avant-garde. Nonchalantly quoting musical decades made of Talking Heads and Dream Pop, Sarges designs the soundtrack for the generation genderfluid. With her band The Sticky Fingers, named more after sticky popcorn hands than the Rolling Stones, Albertine Sarges is now playing her first regular tour concert at Kampnagel.
