People lined up dance with their legs bent upwards. They are festively dressed, mainly in black and white. They are mirrored in the middle. Lightning bolts protrude from the corners. An organ red background at the top, a blue background at the bottom.

Enjoy this crash course in Dabke, the traditional dance well known in the Middle East region. The course is led by the group Über den Tellerrand Hamburg e.V., the dancer Rama Saifo and Migrantpolitan member Majd Hanna.

The successful event series "DUB-ke" presents the wide world of "Arab Techno" in the new season. The musical spectrum includes diverse styles and genres from "Arab Trap" to "Oriental House". The name of the new party series is already a homage to hybrid forms: Dabke is the name of the traditional folklore dance - DUB-ke is its technoid transcription.

In his music "Tarâpzâde", Tayfun Guttstadt re-examines the relationship between multi-layered identities, between tradition and the here and now: Hip-hop and trap meet oriental classical music, centuries-old poems resound hand in hand with the sound of the times. Tayfun is a master of two worlds: his heart beats for both driving 808s and Middle Eastern tradition. His music pays due respect to both universes and creates a sound that has never been heard before. Sensitively produced beats and arrangements harmonise in unexpected ways with oriental melodies, extended instrumental parts and rap. Music for a new generation. From Berlin, for the world.

In a dark and stuffy basement, not many years ago, by blending all their tonal obsessions together and creating a mishmash throughout different genres, a project was born: IMPROGRESS. Deriving from Tübingen, a small town guarding the black forest, the project is on a loose. It thrives for audiophiles all over the country. By continuously improvising and mixing experimental live sampling with diverse oriental instruments, Trip-Hop, D'n'B and ambient beats come to light. Improgress is moving, never resting, to discover interfaces of diverse musical realms.
