Oum Kalthoum was one of the most influential female musicians of the Arab world in the 20th century. She became a legend after her death in 1975. This concert is an ode to Kalthoum’s heritage, and it is The Wedding Orchestra for Middle Eastern Music’s first project. The orchestra is an initiative by the director Ariel Efraim Ashbel; he is bringing together professional musicians from throughout the world.
