Bohren & der Club of Gore

For almost a quarter of a century, Bohren & der Club of Gore has been playing a reduced form of dark jazz that pays homage to the beauty of minimalist slowness. The trio has long since defied categorization and now presents »Patchouli Blue«, its eighth studio album: from the deceleration arises an infinite tension of the individual notes, every saxophone insert, every bass run or chord on the analog synthesizer becomes an event here.

Support comes from Hamburg musician Blurred Twin, who also aims at a complex minimalism with harmonium and vocals.
