Brooklyn

During her two-week residency at Kampnagel, multidisciplinary artist Brooklyn will explore the Carpenter Effect – an effect that describes the phenomenon that the mere thought of movement signals the body to prepare for it. In her research, Brooklyn wants to use her knowledge as a trained physiotherapist and dancer about manipulating, reprogramming and infl uencing the body to develop a concept in which one moves based on the senses that are normally used more passively than actively. Brookyn will present the results of her residency in a public showing.
