The Brazilian star choreographer Bruno Beltrão questions the meaning of borders and migration in his new work. BORDERS is both a chase and a procession, but above all it is a passionate plea for freedom. Inspired by geopolitical movements, Beltrão’s dancers conduct a movement experiment. The dancers in BORDERS cover a distance of more than four kilometres on a huge treadmill - everything in this choreography is fluid and the treadmill becomes a symbol of the street, the passing of time, progress, restlessness.
