The Welsh musician had spent a year and a half learning furniture making and at the same time produced her new album »Reward«, to which she dedicated the same patience that is needed to build furniture, and about which the Guardian wrote: »Reward is appropriately titled. Give it time and it fully reveals itself, getting under your skin in the process.« Le Bon wrote elliptical lyrics, deconstructed classical song structures and layered electronic sounds, reduced guitars or complex brass parts over her piano playing and her dream pop voice and said that she herself is always amazed at how »poetic spaces« open up within the songs. Support comes from experimental singer-songwriter Koichi Yamanoha aka Grimm Grimm, who combines ghostly baroque folk with strange electroacoustics.
