Christiane Rösinger
„The Joy of Ageing“ - Musikalische Lesung
Dates
6/3/26
8:00 PM
Musician, author, and theater-maker Christiane Rösinger has appeared at Kampnagel in a variety of constellations – most recently together with her colleaugue Stefanie Sargnagel or in 2024 with her large-scale performance Die große Klassenrevue. Now, the Kreuzberg-based artist and grandmother turns to a new subject: aging. In her book “The Joy of Ageing” (Rowohlt), she humorously weaves together advice on growing older, personal experiences, and sharp social observations. In her search for positive role models, Rösinger takes an unflinchingly honest, witty, and insightful look at different types of women: from the dog-devotee to the self-optimizer to the move-to-the-countryside enthusiast. The result is a powerful appeal to stop accepting how society treats women who are no longer young. At Kampnagel, she presents her observations in a reading accompanied by music in the large hall.
