Jasmine Fan, born in Taiwan, graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Dance and Film from the National Taiwan University of the Arts. In 2012, she moved to Hamburg for her Master's degree. She completed her studies at the HfBK Hamburg in 2017 with the dance film »A Walk in Mermaid's Shoes«. Since 2019/20, her work has been funded by the Clausen-Simon Foundation. She is also the founder and curator of the TANZAHOi festival.

Her dance piece »OHNEZWEI« was performed in 2019 at the LICHTHOF Theater in Hamburg, at the Alps Move Festival in South Tyrol and at Vierundeinzig in Innsbruck. Her dance piece »Mudra«, deals with the role of hand gestures in dance towards the independence protests of HongKong. Funded by the Behörde für Kultur und Medien and the Hamburgische Kulturstiftung and premiered in February 2021 at the LICHTHOF Theater in Hamburg. Her current dance theater piece »BARDO« takes the audience into a multi-space performance in which individual perspectives are interactively enabled - including the virtual one. The performance was supported in different phases by the Clausen- Simon-Stiftung, NPN - Stepping out as well as Fonds Darstellende Künste e.V. and on two evenings in September 2021 in the halls of Kraftwerk Bille, Hamburg.
