The last big International Summer Festival party will take place with Carsten 'Erobique‘ Meyer, who lets tears of dance joy flow with his own genre.

The question is justified: how could this festival have ever existed without Carsten 'Erobique' Meyer? No one stands for such good transitions from theater to dancefloor, piano to turntable, wildly referenced disco oldies to club music. In addition to theater music, radio play works and film compositions (among them »Fraktus«, »Der Tatortreiniger«), the self-named last German discopunk has redefined the genre of live concerts. When the grand Zampano plays, that means sweatsoaked sacred hours full of improvised disco licks and hairsplitting singing. As a »live mirror ball« (FAZ), he breaks open the monotony of beat-mixed laptop DJ culture and seduces people to enter perspiration-inducing dance marathons. Record releases are rare (Mirau, Acid Jazz, Deck 8), his hits ('Easy Mobeasy', 'Überdosis Freude') need to be enjoyed live and in color. And because beforehand and afterwards the musical truffle expert Booty Carell will liberate his exaggerated music ideas from the speakers,this evening will place a disco crown on the International Summer Festival’s head.
