Kanal-Bühne 19:00 – 22:00 FORMATION**NOW X SOMMERFESTIVAL – MUSIK NIGHT OUT!

On two evenings FORMATION**NOW brings together young artists from different fields: MUSIC NIGHT OUT! is a new format presenting newcomers of music and spoken word. And on Friday we celebrate the BLOCK PARTY

Since 2017 FORMATION**NOW has been a project of Lukulule e.V. for the promotion and cross-disciplinary networking of young artists. As a curatorial collective, FORMATION**NOW works on event formats, dealing critically with discrimination, in cooperation with Hamburg museums and other cultural venues. The activities of FORMATION**NOW are bundled in a 4-week biannual festival, the next edition of which is planned for September 2021. FORMATION**NOW derives from the diversity of its network, with a clear focus on the perspectives of BiPOC and other marginalized voices.

Wald-Bühne 20:30 – 22:00 ANJA RÜTZEL & STELLA SOMMER LECTURE PERFORMANCE

Journalist Anja Rützel (SZ, SPON, SPEX) reads in German from »Lieber allein als gar keine Freunde« and »Schlafende Hunde: Berühmte Menschen und ihre Haustiere«. Afterwards the musician Stella Sommer plays a best of set made out of solo songs and pieces from her band Die Heiterkeit.

FESTIVAL AVANT-GARTEN INFORMATION

This year, the festival garden designed by JASCHA&FRANZ will be as special as the summer festival: In Hamburg's pearl of art leisure parks, there will not only be installations, performances and culinary delights, but also a daily changing programme on two open-air stages (details in the programme overview). Due to the Corona-related capacity restrictions for events, tickets for the individual evenings in the garden are available for the symbolic price of 3 Euros in advance and additionally at the Festival box office. A third stage is located on the piazza at the main entrance (free of charge with a seat outside the Peacetanbul Restaurant). With a ticket for another festival performance on the same evening you can enter the garden for free - as long as there is enough capacity, otherwise there might be bridgeable waiting times.

HYGIENE RULES FOR YOUR VISIT

This year the summer festival takes place under special circumstances. Therefore it is important that we observe security measures to protect everyone and collect the contact information of our guests. This works without complications, but only with your help:

· Everywhere: Keep a distance of 1.5m, except in self-chosen groups of max. 10 people;

· In all indoor areas: Wear mouth-nose-protection, except in fixed seating areas;

· In the festival garden and in the Peacetanbul Restaurant: please always register as soon as you take a seat. The registration is done analogue with pen and paper or digital via a QR CODE. More information on site.
