Kanal-Bühne 19:00 – 22:00 FORMATION**NOW X SOMMERFESTIVAL – BLOCK PARTY

On two evenings FORMATION**NOW brings together young artists from different fields: The BLOCK PARTY celebrates FORMATION**NOW as a network - with talk, dance and music, the evening provides an informal platform to get to know each other, exchange ideas and make new plans. It is a low-threshold invitation to young creatives to get involved in the network and celebrates the emancipatory potential of community. Click here for the MUSIC NIGHT OUT!

Since 2017 FORMATION**NOW has been a project of Lukulule e.V. for the promotion and cross-disciplinary networking of young artists. As a curatorial collective, FORMATION**NOW works on event formats, dealing critically with discrimination, in cooperation with Hamburg museums and other cultural venues. The activities of FORMATION**NOW are bundled in a 4-week biannual festival, the next edition of which is planned for September 2021. FORMATION**NOW derives from the diversity of its network, with a clear focus on the perspectives of BiPOC and other marginalized voices.

Wald-Bühne 19:00 – 20:30 READING: JONNY BAUER & JENZ BUMPER: SHANGHAI SHASHLIK

Jonny Bauer is the lyricist and singer of the last punk band Oiro. He publishes texts on music, art and politics, writes children's books as well as theater and radio plays. Together with his buddy, co-author and one-man-orchestra Jenz Bumper he presents the book »Shanghai Schaschlik« (Salon Alter Hammer, 2019) in a reading in German and with garage sound: A touching and funny novel about friendship and coolness. A road trip, a best-buddy story. An exciting program of reading, audio play and garage sound!

20:30 – 21:30 LECTURE: BARBARA LÜDDE & JOT VETTER: OUR PIECE OF PUNK

with the publishers Jot Vetter and Barbara Lüdde

»Our Piece of Punk. Ein queer_feministischer Blick auf den Kuchen« contains drawings, comics, texts, discussions and declarations of love about the possibilities and limits of queer_feminism in punk. It's not about a look in the rear-view mirror, no »everything was better in the past« and riot grrrl nostalgia: the book rather gives a voice to protagonists who love and live punk and DIY today, with all their quirks, edges and annoyances. The book is filled with their points of view. Some coincide, some don't: Different and yet similar, they all stand for the diversity of punk in the present.
