Luxembourgish pianist, composer and producer Francesco Tristano was long considered a true wunderkind of classical music. Specializing in baroque and avant-garde music and endowed with a masterly way of playing, he extrapolated pieces by Bach and Buxtehude into contemporary electronic music and brought techno back to the origins of minimal music. In his appearances with techno pioneers like Carl Craig, Moritz von Oswald or Derrick May, the groundbreaking artist regularly won o ver the world’s clubs, but always returned to the »classical« concert hall. In his first Hamburg appearance since 2015, he will present his new project, »Piano Circle Songs,« which was partly created with Kampnagel accomplice Chilly Gonzales and is dedicated wholly to the piano.
