History workshop: Queer History

Dates

/ Admission free

To mark the first Hamburg Queer History Month, Hamburg performance, film and media artist Simon Schultz is organizing an open history workshop in collaboration with Kampnagel. Over Sunday coffee, participants will talk about the queer history associated with the Hanseatic city and with us as its inhabitants: Which queer pioneers were active here? What alliances were forged here? What surprising stories of love and friendship can we collect? The cake-filled storytelling café invites you to record personal stories and memories throughout the day. An oral history workshop writes the oral history of the city. In the spontaneous collective library, books, journals, photo albums and magazines are waiting to be read. Publications, photos and objects brought along and their stories, especially from the 1970s and 1980s, are very welcome as V.i.P guests. At the zine workshop in cooperation with Risofort, new and handy graphic forms will be found for the distributed knowledge of queer pasts and futures. In the evening, the No-Talent-Show with drag and travesty imitation will conclude the program. Spontaneous contributions are very welcome.

The event is open to participants and guests for the entire duration. The kx venue is accessible via an external staircase with 10 steps. Toilets are available, barrier-free toilets are available on the venue grounds.

Die Geschichtswerkstatt wird vom Medienkünstler Simon Schultz koordiniert und ist nur Dank der ehrenamtlichen Unterstützung aller Helfer*innen möglich.
