ÜBERJAZZ Festival Friday
ANOTHER TASTE / CURIÓ CURIÓ / JUJU ROGERS / RADIOHOP
Dates
11/20/26
7:00 PM
Since 2010, the ÜBERJAZZ FESTIVAL has been showcasing how jazz, soul, hip-hop, ambient, and other cutting-edge styles come together to create forward-looking music – typically across four Kampnagel halls, all accessible with a single ticket. Starting this fall, Kampnagel will be undergoing renovations and will, for a period of 18 months, only be hosting shows in the large Hall K6 (in addition to various city-wide performances). Therefore, the 2026 ÜBERJAZZ FESTIVAL will take place in a special format: over three days, ÜBERJAZZ will present multiple concerts each evening in Hall K6 in a unique setup. The ÜBERJAZZ concept of strolling through musical worlds of the future remains – concentrated in a single hall with multiple acts in one evening. Information on further festival days: THURSDAY, SATURDAY.
LINE-UP FRIDAY
Dutch funk collective ANOTHER TASTE returns to ÜBERJAZZ with their second full-length album “Another Taste II” on Danilo Plessow's (MCDE) Space Grapes label. In a digital age, the band doubles down on analog and blends elements of 80’s boogie and synth funk, 70’s funk and obscure disco - birthed from unearthing forgotten sounds and reinventing them for the modern era.
Headed by Rio-born, Austria-based singer and actress Luiza Monteiro and German producer Dustin Braun, CURIÓ CURIÓ is a heartfelt Brazilian MPB-groove project shaped by psychedelic disco and studio experimentation. They are influenced as much by Gal Costa and Jorge Ben Jor as Say She She and Bala Desejo and following their summer-hit “Bem Querer“ they just released their self-titled debut-album on Mr Bongo.
JUJU ROGERS plays his ÜBERJAZZ-debut with his most expansive and conceptually ambitious project to date: “Pink Guitars, Spaceships N Voodoo Dolls”. Rooted in a fusion of linguistic and cultural influences, it draws from the Afropunk movement; a celebration of Black punk identity, and the psychedelic funk lineage of Parliament-Funkadelic, forging a dynamic and genre-defying framework JuJu describes as “Afrophunk”.
RADIOHOP are a four-piece jazz/hip-hop band from Amsterdam, exploring the boundaries between groove, texture, and improvisation. "Hard to Handle" is their second album and the first drop on Cologne-based label Melting Pot Music. As the title suggests, RADIOHOP are going hard on this one. The music is raw, loud, and unapologetic. No polish, no garnish — straight from the source. RADIOHOP are the opener for Friday.
