Inspired by Beethoven’s great opera of liberation, “Fidelio”, the music theatre collective [in]operabilities explores themes of freedom and connection in IT IS NOT EASY, IT IS NOT EASY, IT IS NOT EASY. Through sound and vibration, song and sign language poetry, light, touch and sung audio description, forms of musical expression emerge that explore the full range of what opera can be. Inspired by the utopian pathos of the composer Beethoven, who became deaf later in life, the artists – following their previous projects A SINGTHING, DIE INSEL and DIE WELLEN – are once more developing a collaborative musical practice that connects and addresses different styles of perception.

For the performances, we offer a free pick-up and accompanying service for blind and visually impaired audience members upon request. Please contact us at least 3 days before the event by email at barrierefreiheit@kampnagel.de or by phone at the box office: +49 40 270 949-49.
