A bar. Two men. A piano. That's how it begins. There is smoking and drinking. There is noise, laughter and arguing. Hugging and kissing. There is dancing and singing. And ends in intoxication.

The new musical theater evening by Jan Plewka and Tom Stromberg uses musical means to explore the question of whether life is perhaps a meaningless place and can only be endured in a state of intoxication. In alcohol intoxication, in love intoxication or drug intoxication. Each intoxication will have its own concert on this evening. And Tom Stromberg lets the two protagonists of the piece, Jan Plewka, frontman of Selig, and his band colleague and multi-instrumentalist Leo Schmidthals, not only tell the stories of musicians, but also send them through music history. From the Beatles to Deichkind, from Heinz Erhard to Iggy Pop.

Even more Plewka!
