»Soyez réalises, demandez l’impossible« – students sprayed this on a wall in Paris in 1968. A photo of this moment caught the eye of Swedish artist Jenny Wilson, whose collaborations with The Knife and Robyn, solo works and theatrical compositions had made her one of the strongest voices in experimental pop – and who was diagnosed with cancer in 2010. With the fearless rage and power of a street poet, who stands lost in emptiness and appears simultaneously crazy and wise, Wilson recorded her new album, »Demand the Impossible!«: a futuristic pop conception, made up of electro, R’n’B and razor sharp lyrics. The influence of the future music of her colleague Fever Ray is clear, but the existential force of this music is beyond compare. Likewise, Wilson’s concerts are intense events, and after a short tour in the spring the (now recovered) Swede returns to Germany with her band for an exclusive festival concert.
