Johanna Faye / Saïdo Lehlouh

Earthbound presents the spectrum of hip-hop dance from free jazz to electro, celebrating the richness of a rebellious and festive underground scene. Johanna Faye and Saïdo Lehlouh and seven dancers created a form of post-contemporary hip-hop albeit staying true to the roots of street dance. The dancers explore the similarities, frictions, contrasts and permeability between the gestures of electro and hip-hop, creating movements inspired by voguing, locking, house or popping to the musical compositions of Mackenzy Bergile, NSDOS and Lumi Sow.
