For the first time in the 22-year history of JUSTE DEBOUT, the most important dance meeting in the world, the special edition JUSTE DEBOUT GOLD will take place on the big Kampnagel stage k6. From the more than 10,000 participants in recent years, 16 of the best dancers in each of the four categories HipHop, Popping, Locking and House will be invited to compete against each other in 1 vs 1 rounds in front of a high-calibre jury. The idea for GOLD was born for the 20th anniversary of JUSTE DEBOUT and could never be realised due to the pandemic. Since then, Bruce Ykanji, the artistic director of JUSTE DEBOUT, has been looking for a suitable venue that radiates both internationality and warmth. In preview of the big comeback event JUSTE DEBOUT in June, GOLD is intended to pay tribute to the many dancers and the scene in its exclusive setting and offer the opportunity to connect with the Hamburg community in a small circle.
