In the Khmer tradition, dance is a sacred ritual. Dancers are the messengers between the worlds. The movements take shape with meditative slowness, the fragile curves of the body are reminiscent of undulations from nature, and the flow of the gestures shows the cycle of life that never ends. The ritual is transported into today's technological reality. Under neon light, it nevertheless constantly carries the original idea.

Daniella Preap is a Ukrainian-Cambodian dancer and choreographer. In Kiev she studied standard dances, folk dances and contemporary dance. Between 2017-2021 she resided in Cambodia where she learned traditional Khmer folk dances and was part of the SilverBell dance company in Phnom Penh. Between March and December 2022 she was in residence at K3.
